Did a Folk Tales themed 2nd grade storytime some months back--we didn't have time for all of these things, but still wanted to share ideas.
Prop Story: “Bear and the Crow,” from Arnold Lobel’s Fables
*tell the story while putting on ridiculous outfit—need pot for head, sheet for coat, 2 paper bags for shoes*
Book 1: Clever Beatrice, Margaret Wiley, Heather Solomon (I love that this takes place in the Upper Penninsula, Michigan)
