Misadventures of the Monster Librarian

Still moving. Slowly my cabin is becoming my own again. *sigh of contentment* So nice to listen to the rain on the roof, in the cabin in the woods; to hear the brook pouring by (from all the extra rain we've gotten lately!); so nice to be home. Since the sun is actually out for the first time in many days, gotta go move the last two loads! More soon! These and more ridiculous pictures found here .

This is the branch that fell on my cabin during the big wind storm last night, notice the dents in my (now removed) woodstove's pipe. I am thinking that it's a good thing that this pipe is there or else I may have some roof damage. The huge branch fell onto my cabin, literally causing the whole cabin to shake, then slid off, tangling itself in the electric?/phone? lines connected to the front of my cabin. As I yanked at the limb (in my mismatched pajamas and winter coat) I kept praying that I didn't die of electrocution (from said lines)--would be an embarassing way to be found in the morning.

Is it the winter sluggishness that makes me less prone to writing? I'm not sure, but lately I feel like I have zero energy at the end of the day for anything like writing, or (still) organizing things in my not-quite-new-anymore-cabin. Today was a rough day. Emotionally rough. I had a strange (and later resolved) confrontation at work; and Tuesdays are just long anyway. I work 6:30am-2:30pm then have a meeting from 4pm-6pm. I have stayed away from my little cabin all day and am avoiding it now.
